The Alpha Iota Chapter at the University of Alabama made the decision to cease operations during the summer due to low recruitment and retention. Because of our relationship with the University, they’ve granted Alpha Sigma Phi the opportunity to return to campus and re-start one of our oldest chapters. Alpha Iota’s rich history dates back to 1930. Alpha Sigma Phi returns to build the next generation of Alpha Sigs in Tuscaloosa and hopes to re-engage its robust alumni base.
A new campus for Alpha Sigma Phi, the eventual Lambda Beta Chapter at Arkansas State University will build its origins this spring. With an enrollment of over 14,000, the University offers more than 150 degree programs across its six colleges, fostering an innovative and research-driven environment. A-State is recognized for its partnerships, including hosting Arkansas’s first osteopathic medical school in collaboration with the New York Institute of Technology.
After working with the University to gain recognition, Alpha Sigma Phi is also proud to announce the start of our Lambda Gamma chapter at SUNY Cortland. Through the last Fall semester, we gained an interest group of nearly 50 high-caliber men seeking to build Alpha Sigma Phi's legacy at SUNY Cortland. With a total enrollment of nearly 6,000 undergraduates and only two other recognized fraternities on campus, the Lambda Gamma Chapter is sure to make a positive impact on campus!
If you know someone who is attending/ will be attending these campuses, be sure to refer them!
See how Alpha Sigma Phi has helped shape these men into better leaders in their role as Chapter President.
If you are interested in joining an existing chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi, or are interested in starting your own chapter, please fill out our new member referral form or contact us at tbtm@alphasig.org.
Fraternities are sometimes lumped together as "student organizations." The Fraternity experience is so much more. That is why you will often hear members reference the word Fraternity when describing the experience, and they won't ask you to join the "club" or "organization." The following are some basics that will help a potential new member understand the process of joining our Fraternity.
That's right, no other fraternity in the country offers New Member dues as low as ours! These dues give you access to benefits like our Grand Chapter and Elevate national conventions, scholarships, alumni network, and professional skill-building opportunities you can't get in the classroom.
