Let this Founders Day be a moment to reflect on the memories you’ve made with your brothers. Use those good times as inspiration to continue to live out the Values of Alpha Sigma Phi and to join us for the bright future that awaits this brotherhood.
Alpha Sigma Phi is awarding $1,000 to three division winners, $500 to runners-up, for the most dollars raised and most donors over the course of the entire Founders Day Challenge, ending at midnight EDT on December 6.
We are introducing a new bracket competition during the 178 Hours of Giving. Chapters will compete for the most donations each day against one other chapter. The winning chapters will move forward until only two chapter remain. Our top chapters will go head to head on Founders Day for the crown and a $2,000 prize.
ABOUT THE FIRST-EVER BRACKET CHALLENGE
INTRODUCTION
Alpha Sigma Phi is introducing its first-ever Founders Day Bracket Challenge! Sixty-four chapters have made the field and will compete over six days to be crowned Founders Day Challenge Champion. The tournament schedule is as follows:
SCHEDULE
The tournament will be live from noon-midnight EDT each day.
- First Round: Tuesday, November 28
- Round of 32: Wednesday, November 29
- Sweet 16: Friday, December 1
- Elite 8: Saturday, December 2
- Final 4: Monday, December 4
- Championship: Wednesday, December 6
HOW TO ADVANCE
Each round, your chapter will go head-to-head with one other chapter. The chapter with more donors that day will advance to the next round.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
The champion of the Founders Day Bracket Challenge will receive $3,000 in their chapter endowment. The runner-up will receive $2,000. The two chapters who lost their Final Four matchups will receive $1,000 each.
Furthermore, each time a chapter advances to the next round, they're entered into a drawing for $500 into their endowment. The more a chapter wins in the tournament, the better their odds to win an extra $500. We will be drawing twice, so two chapters will be awarded the extra funds.
The Fraternity celebrated its inaugural Alpha Sig Everywhere on Monday, November 6, 2023. Alpha Sigs from across the United States rekindled the flame of brotherhood at over 100 events nationwide.
