Occurring every other summer, it is a meeting of the Alpha Sigma Phi body known as the Grand Chapter which is the supreme legislative body of the Fraternity. Meet your brothers from around the country in Louisville, Kentucky and be part of directing the future of the Old Gal. Our off-site events, leadership programming, and the Cardinal and Stone Award Presentation are just some of the highlights of Grand Chapter.
Every chapter, provisional chapter and recognized alumni association sends a delegate to sit along side the Grand Council and the Past Grand Senior Presidents to vote during the Plenary Sessions.
Grand Chapter is not limited to delegates, any brother in good standing - undergraduate or alumni - is encouraged to attend.
The 57th Grand Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi will take place in Louisville, Kentucky on August 1-4, 2024 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown (280 W Jefferson Street, Louisville KY 40202).
Join Alpha Sigs from around the country as we kick off the weekend at the world-famous Churchill Downs, the site of the Kentucky Derby. Alumni and guests will also get insider’s access to bourbon country at the Log Still Distillery, owned and operated by Alpha Sig alumnus Wally Dant, Purdue ’82. Attendees can certainly look forward to the staples of Grand Chapter, like our off-site events, receptions, and of course, the Cardinal & Stone Awards Presentation. We hope to see you in Louisville next summer!

Louisville is Kentucky's largest city and sits on the Ohio River along the Indiana border. Every May, its race course Churchill Downs hosts the Kentucky Derby, a renowned horse race whose long history is explored at the Kentucky Derby Museum. Baseball is celebrated at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, where Major League bats are produced and a giant baseball "slugger" marks the entrance. Because Louisville resides in Bourbon Country, visitors have access to a number of distilleries, including ten just within the downtown area.

Alpha Sigma Phi's Grand Chapter has been around for more than 100 years. It's a staple in the fabric of our great fraternity and has played a major role in the direction of the Old Gal for many years. It allows our undergraduate body to come together, debate the future of the Fraternity and take action that can make that future more easily attainable for future generations.
Grand Chapter has always been a sought after event for both undergraduates and alumni, alike. The opportunity to bring the brotherhood together is always an exciting prospect.
Alpha Sigma Phi's premiere event offers more than legislation. It's a gathering point for over 1,000 brothers within the Mystic Circle and their guests. It's a time to celebrate our brotherhood and make new memories with those we already share memories with, and those with whom we will make new memories.
It's safe to say, attendees at Grand Chapter can expect great things and memories to last a lifetime. This is an event that is known to yield some of the Fraternity’s most memorable and impactful moments. Here are some of what has resulted in recent years:
2006
The Fraternity’s Five Values - Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism were made public.
2010
The CLVEN - National House Corporation was created and funded by the undergraduate delegates.
2016
Frank Beamer, one of college football’s most winningest head coaches, was initiated as a brother of Alpha Sigma Phi.
